webstertrophy.ca Newsletter #007A

On The Heels Of Update 7: This update is being sent out now a day or two after the last one due to confirmation from our sponsor of an exciting new addition to the Webster programme.

Tremendous Announcement: There has been a rumour for many years that our sponsor Air Canada offered a guaranteed job interview to the Webster winner once they were qualified. That rumour could never be confirmed until a past Webster winner, Sherri Applelton (Kantymir) from 1989 produced documentation to substantiate that it actually was being done. This was forwarded to our Flight Ops Executives at Air Canada and it was timely that we did. The Webster Team is extremely pleased to announce that Air Canada has now confirmed that not only this year's winner, but all of the finalists will be receiving a job interview once they are fully qualified. This applies to upcoming years as well for the foreseeable future. This does not guarantee a job, of course, but what an opportunity for a foot in the door. We would like to thank Capt. Rick Allen and Capt. Jay Musselman and all others involved in this decision. It will be an excellent promotional tool for us to encourage an increase in applications and a tremendous opportunity for future finalists.

Webster Finalist Hired By Air Canada: As a perfect segway to the next item. We are very proud to announce that our runner-up from 2008, Trevor LeMarquand has recently been hired by Air Canada and is now in training. Congratulations Trevor. Hopefully you are the vanguard for a larger number of our recent finalists. Well done!

Wayne
